Wine and Fines :One plus Four =Life

Friday night involved wine, chocolate and watching episodes of Skins. Green and Blacks milk chocolate is one of my favourite foods in the whole wide world ( in case you were wondering haha).

Saturday mornings are probably my favourite time of the week. This week I decided to pretend that home was an Island and I was staying on it all day(with the exception of walking the dog, which would be like walking around the Island)! I threw myself into sorting out some of my creative supplies/space and then had plenty of time and inspiration to create. Yay for me! Leaving the house to just do one thing can lead to too much time gone and loss of energy for me, Does that ever happen to you?

Too scared to see how much debt I have wracked up in overdue fines I dropped my books off on the way to Gym on Sunday morning. So that was two things of my list, exercise and returning overdue books. If only I could pay the fines on the internet to avoid the shame!

It was a grey old morning, but I spotted this. I’m so drawn to patterns in nature and these days I tend to stop more and take a snap. Which is why have over 3,000 photos on my phone and the memory is full. Yep deleting photos is always on my to do list, lucky I don’t get fined for that!

Thanks for hosting these posts Isabel!

I hope you had a great week. Might see you next week .

p.s This is one of the things I created, an art journal page based on one of my favourite themes.

  1. Green and Black dark for me! That looks like a perfect night! Thank goodness for the library chute. I have been very good recently but when the kids were little there were so many books borrowed we’d inevitably fail to get them all back on time. I like the idea of home being an island x

  2. I love your weekly updates Emily! and a day that allows you to concentrate on exactly what you want to do is just perfect even more so if it involves glue and paper….& & red wine – I know the wine was the night before however I just love the idea of wine and chocolate amidst gesso and brushes..haha!!

  3. gorgeous photos as always – you can always wait for the Christmas amnesty on overdue fees when you can waive them by bringing in some tins of food for those that need it. Assuming it’s not just Brisbane City library that does that.

    1. Hmm , not sure if they do that here, but I think that is actually a great idea. Or even link it with the winter appeal that runs here. Thanks for popping in Robyna ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Yes that’s exactly what I do think, it’s a small price to pay for all the hours of enjoyment. ( I’ll have to look out for the toffee one, not sure we get it here).

  4. I love chocolate too, Emily. I do not know if I can get green and black chocolate here but I would try it if I could. I feel the same way about getting out to run an errands. Too much time and loss of energy for me. Glad I am not the only one. I am a homebody so I plan one day a week to run errands. I could probably stay home for two weeks at a time and be fine. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. That does sound very appealing Melody, I am not organized enough to ever manage that, even if I wasn’t busy with Mum duties. Still I am planning on more one day at home days, it was really great! Glad to hear I’m not the only one too ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Yes, why can’t we pay library fines online these days? We should be able to, if only to avoid the shame! Mmm, Green and Blacks chocolate. That moss is pretty, and I love that you had a ‘stay on the island of your home’ day. I agree, a trip out can sap energy and take longer than expected. So nice to spend an entire day at home. Thank YOU for joining in with One + Four, Emily!
