Other news is I have been a bit awol, while enjoying some summer time at the beach. These days I seem to not be able to leave the house with at least a sketchbook, so for a few days away I managed to squeeze in my bag , some sketching things, art journaling supplies and even some art books borrowed from the library.

I’m pleased to say that I actually have been sketching and journaling and not only that, my family have too! Yesterday we sat on the beach for a while and sketched and read, then plunged into the gorgeous water for a swim. Basically my idea of bliss!

Sadly today is the last day,so forgive my hastily written post because it’s Australia Day and time for me to put sunscreen on and wake everyone up so we can have a surf before we pack up and head home for our town’s fireworks tonight.
